Take It Or Leave It is out NOW!

Perhaps the greatest female rock band of all time, The Runaways unquestionably kicked down the door for every girl who's picked up a guitar, drum stick or microphone in the last 35 years. Plenty of boys walked through that door, too, as evidenced by the line-up we've got on our tribute to The Runaways, Take It Or Leave It. Everyone from David Johansen and Bebe Buell to The Dandy Warhols and Care Bears On Fire celebrate the influence of The Runaways. Boasting 36 songs, nearly every song from the band's catalog is represented.

Those keepers of the rock 'n' roll flame, Frankenstein 3000, have completed work on their new full-length CD. Method To Our Madness boasts 16 tracks and some titles you may even recognize. Make no mistake, though... these are all-new recordings that capture all the power and energy fans have come to expect from this band. There are new versions of "Going Away", "Everybody Else" and "Panic In Needle Park" and brand new song, "Revolution (Coming Of Age)" will be featured in the upcoming film, Let Me Down Hard.

Summer of 2010 releases included Just What We Needed, a tribute to the first 2 Cars albums (their self-titled debut and Candy-O plus a couple "bonus" tracks), Alone In The Wild, the debut solo album from former Frankenstein 3000 guitarist Johny Dey, and a collection of covers from Generation X's guitarist Derwood Andrews cleverly titled Cover Yer Arse.

Some CDs you can look for in the coming months will be Remember The Coop: A Tribute To Alice Cooper's Killer Classics, to be released on November 9th, 2010, plus
Frankenstein 3000's new CD, The Method To Our Madness, and Digger Phelps' long-awaited Main Man debut, Falling Over Backwards both due by the end of the year
.

New releases so far in 2010 include the aforementioned tribute to Devo's debut album, Q: Are We Not Men? called Q: Are We Not Devo? (see what we did there?), True Love's long-awaited Main Man debut ¡Pas Net!, a brand new Frankenstein 3000 cover record entitled They'll Be Waking Up Soon and Horse Feathers & Animal Crackers, a 2-disc Queen tribute.

The Devo tribute was the first release from Main Man Records available as a digital download direct from us! The Cars tribute is also now available for download.

We've reduced the price on a number of CDs. Now you can pick up Mutant Monster Beach Party's High In the Low Seventies, Full Blast, Happy Meal, Lose Your Delusions or Bigger Than The Beatles, Twenty, Bad Biscut's Shag Abbey and the 2-disc Die Young, Stay Pretty for just $5 or less!

We've also got Frankenstein 3000 t-shirts as part of special offers with their CDs or sold separately. Check out the deals here.

Finally, while reorganizing the warehouse, we came across a Frankenstein 3000 America's Hit Remakers signed poster. You want it? Click here for details!

It took us a while to fully recover from a very busy 2008, but we finally kicked off our 11th year with a new tribute and the long-awaited new Frankenstein 3000 album. We also added a page listing every artist and what release they appear on. Check it out here.

We're also providing you with 500px copies of album covers for your media player. We've started with the most recent releases and will work our way back. Click on the small version of the cover at the top of the album page for a larger copy.

First up was It's A Bird, It's A Plane... It's A Main Man Records Tribute To AC/DC Powerage. This might have been the fastest response to a request for submissions we've ever gotten. Who knew Powerage was so many people's favorite AC/DC album? We've got some unique contributions on this one. Dennis Dunaway (Alice Cooper) worked with Dimma, a band from Iceland; True Love gave us their first recorded material since 2006; we've even got a remix of one of the songs as a bonus track. Visit the CD's page here for more details and a special offer .

Frankenstein 3000’s third full-length CD, Where Do We Go From Here? was released on May 5, 2009. The new album reveals a great deal of growth for the band. Some songs showcase a poppier (but no less aggressive) sound while darker material exposes a side of the band not previously explored. Fans looking for the classic F3K sound won’t be disappointed, though. Check out the CD's page here for more information and a special offer.

2008 was a very exciting year at Main Man Records. We started off with We Still Believe The Hype, a collection of Bad Biscut rarities and our first single, Frankenstein 3000's Goin' Away. It was also our 10th year and we celebrated that with a "best of" called Twenty (so-named for our 20th release). Plus, Fabulous Disaster, the debut solo CD from Shawn Mars and a Deluxe Edition of Bad Biscut's The American Dream? were released last spring.

Main Man Records continued our biggest year yet with some very hot releases. We ended the summer with Hair Apparent, our tribute to 80s hair bands. With the help of DJs Kim Mulligan (WDHA Weekend Warrior) and Keith Roth (WRAT's The Electric Ballroom), this compilation includes respectful renditions of some of your favorite glam metal classics. We were also proud to make available a collection from New Jersey power-pop quintet Hangar 18 called The Alien Highway. The third and final Bad Biscut collection, the unreleased Shag Abbey sessions, is also out. Our releases for the end of the year included a holiday compilation, Santa's Soundtrack For The Happenin' Holidaze, and a tribute to New Jersey college-rock legends Winter Hours, A Few Uneven Rhymes.

Since 1998, Main Man Records has been the home of cutting edge compilations around the New York/New Jersey area. Our releases have become the standard by which all local artist compilations are judged. Main Man Records strives to make each collection a unique and exciting listening experience, whether it be one of our legendary tribute CDs like 2003’s Kiss This or a mix of artist’s originals like 2005’s Happy Meal. Our CDs have featured exclusive tracks from such established artists as The Donnas, Cherie Currie from The Runaways, Sylvain Sylvain and Steve Conte from The New York Dolls and The Atomic Bitchwax as well as rare recordings by members of Alice Cooper, Blue Öyster Cult, Skid Row or Redd Kross... a Main Man release is always full of surprises.

We know most local bands find it difficult to get their music heard by a wider audience than the neighborhood they practice in. Main Man Records makes it simple. If you or someone you know might be interested in being included in any future Main Man compilations contact us and we’ll send you all the information you need. All Main Man releases are heard by major label and radio executives, management, booking agents and club owners.
