Another in our (hopefully) on-going series of album tributes.

When we're ready to start a new tribute CD we contact artists that have either appeared on our compilations before or have contacted us about being notified. When we decided on this particular project and sent out information about submissions we were inundated with responses... possibly the most and fastest we've ever received. Who knew that Powerage was so many people's favorite AC/DC album? Numerous bands wanted the same songs, so it became a very tough call to appoint which tune to which group. Ultimately, it came down to one question: "Who could put their own stamp on the original classic?"

The Easy Outs make their premier on this CD with the opening track, "Rock 'N' Roll Damnation". NYC legends True Love do a spot-on version of "Down Payment Blues" while Now Voyagers present a unique take on "Gimme A Bullet". Spin Doctors' guitarist Anthony Krizan, with the help of Meat Loaf backing vocalist C.C. Colletti, submitted a smoking interpretation of "Sin City". Frankenstein 3000 and Shawn Mars offer their usual talents to "What's Next To The Moon?" and "Gone Shootin'" respectively. Ritual 4:20's spin on "Up To My Neck In you" is a rollicking good time, and Derwood Andrews (Generation X) adds another killer contribution with his recording of the original closing track, "Kicked In The Teeth".

Add to all of that a couple bonus tracks! Dennis Dunaway (Alice Cooper) hooked up with Iceland's Dimma for a rousing version of the AC/DC classic "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock 'N' Roll)" (yes, we know it wasn't originally on Powerage, but when Dennis Dunaway said he wanted to do a song, we jumped at the chance). While Frankenstein 3000 was mixing "What's Next To The Moon" in Hoboken, they sent the guitar and vocal tracks to Dan Rico (of The Management) to do a remix. We loved it but couldn't decide to use it or the full band version, so you get 'em both!
